1. Acceptance

By using Herbilous, creating an account or purchasing Herbilous Plus, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, Health and Educational Disclaimer and, for paid services, the Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or purchase a subscription.

2. Educational service

Herbilous provides general educational information about herbs, essential oils, traditional use, preparations, cautions and maker calculations. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, emergency advice or an individual practitioner–patient relationship.

Always read the full safety information and consult an appropriately qualified health professional before acting on information, particularly if you take medicines, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have allergies or a health condition, or are considering use for a child. In an emergency, call 000.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You may browse public educational content without an account. You must provide an accurate email address and be at least 18 years old to purchase Herbilous Plus. A person under 18 should use the service only with a parent or guardian’s involvement.

You are responsible for protecting your password and activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You must not share paid access in a way designed to avoid subscription charges.

4. Free access and Herbilous Plus

Herbilous may offer public information, free member features and paid Plus tools. Features can evolve as information and technology change. We will not remove paid access already due during a current billing period without providing an appropriate remedy where required.

Current Plus options are displayed before checkout. As at the effective date, the advertised options are A$5.99 monthly and A$49 yearly. The checkout page shows the amount, billing interval and any applicable tax before payment.

5. Subscriptions and automatic renewal

Herbilous Plus is an automatically renewing subscription. Monthly plans renew each month and yearly plans renew each year until cancelled. Stripe processes payment using the payment method supplied at checkout.

You can cancel future renewal through the subscription-management link in your Herbilous account or by emailing info@wholesomepress.com. Cancel before the next renewal date to avoid the next charge. Access ordinarily continues until the end of the paid billing period.

6. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. The Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy explains how to request assistance.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use Herbilous for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or dangerous activity.
  • Represent Herbilous information as personal medical advice or a guaranteed outcome.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with security or overload the service.
  • Copy, scrape, republish or commercially exploit substantial portions of the database without written permission.
  • Share account credentials or circumvent membership controls.
  • Introduce malicious code or use automated systems that unreasonably burden the service.

8. Intellectual property

Herbilous branding, original text, selection and arrangement of content, profiles, tools and interface are owned by or licensed to the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use reasonable extracts for personal study with attribution. No commercial licence is granted unless agreed in writing.

Herbilous material must not be copied, scraped, closely adapted or republished to create or populate another website, mobile app, web app, subscription service or product for the Apple App Store, Google Play or another software marketplace. See the Copyright and Permissions page.

9. Accuracy, sources and availability

Herbal evidence, terminology and regulatory guidance change. We take reasonable care and provide safety context, but information may contain errors or become outdated. Traditional use does not prove clinical effectiveness. You should verify information appropriate to your circumstances.

We aim to keep Herbilous available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, provider outages, security events or circumstances beyond reasonable control may temporarily affect service.

10. Third-party services and links

Herbilous uses or links to services operated by others, including Supabase and Stripe. Their availability and handling of information are also governed by their own terms and policies. A link does not mean we endorse every statement or service on an external site.

11. Suspension and closure

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect security, prevent harm or address a serious breach of these Terms. Where practical, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue. You may stop using Herbilous and request account deletion at any time.

12. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Herbilous is not responsible for loss caused by using educational material as personalised healthcare, ignoring cautions, supplying inaccurate information, unauthorised account use outside our reasonable control, or third-party services. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent permitted by law. This clause does not limit non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms prospectively to reflect new features, security needs or legal requirements. Material changes affecting paid members will receive reasonable notice. Continuing to use Herbilous after the effective date of updated Terms indicates acceptance; if you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

14. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth laws. Courts and tribunals with jurisdiction in Queensland may hear disputes, without limiting consumer rights to use another forum where the law permits.
